A Canadian in London Newborn Photographer

5 years ago I moved to London, England as a Canadian Secondary School teacher and yesterday I was granted my Indefinite Leave to Remain. I can’t believe that 5 years have gone by and what I have learned about myself in that time and how much I’ve fallen in love with the UK. In that time I found a photography career and a brilliant life that I adore. It’s been such a stressful time while applying for this new visa but I’m so relieved to have got it, it feels like a huge weight has been lifted! The last 5 years have given me a new appreciation for how hard it must have been for my British grandparents to move to Canada all on their own, without the technology that I have at my fingertips. It’s amazing to think that I’ve chosen to settle in a country where my grandparents were from! I’m just so grateful that I found this amazing path and so happy that I’ve been granted the right to stay permanently! I look forward to what my future in the UK holds!
