12 years and over 1500 newborns- as your local baby whisperer, I’ve seen it all from poo-namis to projectile vomit!

I specialise in Southampton newborn photography with a warm, organic and raw style. No props or stiff posing, just organic outfits (made by my mum) and blankets to put the main focus on your precious newborn. Sessions are held in my cosy Southampton-based home studio, in your home or outdoors.

As I’ve been a professional baby snuggler for so long, I’m so experienced with soothing and calming newborns that all you need to do during the session is feed baby. As I used to be a Secondary School teacher, I’ve got an unlimited amount of patience!

I focus on natural, unposed images of baby and your family as I want your images to represent memories that you can go back to over and over because one day you will be wondering just how it was possible that they once fit in your arms. The fuzzy ears and milk blisters may fade from memory, but your Southampton newborn photos will act as your time machine back to those moments.

As a mum to three little ones: Ondine- 5 yrs, Rothko- 3 yrs and Kyteler- 6 months (yep, we like unique baby names), my work has drastically changed since having my own children.

I’m obsessed with recording every feature of your tiny bundle of joy for you during our session because I know how fast the memories fade and I find myself looking back and wondering, “where did time go?”.

I adore clothes which is why you’ll find me constantly adding gorgeous dresses to the Client Wardrobe for you mamas.

I’m a newborn photography educator and safe posing is my priority. When choosing your Hampshire newborn photographer please make sure they are trained in newborn safety, experienced with newborns and insured.

After our session, you’ll find me editing with a cup of tea, while watching “Love Island”, “Outlander” or reruns of “Gilmore Girls”.

Frequently asked Questions

It is best to book your newborn photography session after your 12 or 20-week scan so that you are prepared and have reserved a session around your due date. If baby has already arrived, don’t worry! Send me a quick email and I’ll do my best to fit you in!

When baby arrives time truly flies and you may find you have left it too late as newborn photographers may be booked up. Newborns are best photographed under two weeks old (as they are at their teeniest and sleepiest which makes for an easier session) so time really does get away from you in those first few weeks as you are busy with a flurry of visitors and getting used to a new routine.

Having your newborn session booked early is one less thing to worry about when baby arrives!

One of the benefits of using a professional Southampton newborn photographer is the use of a Client Closet. I have a lovely collection of dresses for mum and outfits for baby that are carefully selected from high-quality vendors.
Each piece is selected because they are flattering for family or maternity sessions and suit the warm, organic vibe of my images.

I have a wide array of baby outfits up until one year old that include hand-knitted rompers, bonnets, nappie covers, blankets and wraps. My Client Closet baby outfits have a lovely organic look to them and suit the organic, pure and natural style of my photography.

The Client Closet takes the guess-work out of planning what to wear for your family photography session and makes life easier for you as you can select from my gallery of all the beautiful outfits I have before your session.

My newborn photography sessions can be held in my Southampton studio (a gorgeous light filled space with warm colours and textures in SO15), or outdoors in the New Forest, Hampshire. I have clients come to my studio from many areas of Hampshire like the New Forest, Southampton, Winchester, Totton, Romsey, Lymington and Portsmouth.

I recommend photographing your bump around 30-35 weeks pregnant.

Yes! I have a Maternity & Newborn Session package that captures you pregnant and later when baby is here. I think maternity sessions are so important as I find so many women regret not having a maternity session because they felt like they were too uncomfortable with the changes to their body or they didn’t feel well.

Yet it is so important to capture the amazing miracle that your body is creating and celebrate the life you are bringing into this world. Having a professional maternity session helps capture you in your most flattering light and celebrates the anticipation and excitement of baby arriving soon.

Maternity photography in Hampshire is best photographed from 32-25 weeks and can be photographed outdoors anywhere in Hampshire (there are so many amazing spots in the New Forest from the seaside to gorgeous forest) or in my Southampton lifestyle studio.

Your newborn has just arrived and is still so small and dependent on you, of course they will cry at some point during the session and that is completely okay! I have 10 years of experience with newborns and am experienced with all temperaments of newborns.

I have vast experiencing in soothing babies and have many tricks up my sleeve to help the session go smoothly. The beauty of a natural newborn session is that it doesn’t matter if baby is awake or asleep the whole session!

We just capture them as they are and how they are happy to be! Natural newborn photography is all about capturing baby yawns, adorable awake expressions and baby snuggled up to mum and dad. I never force moments, a newborn session just involves lots of baby cuddles so that they are happy and feel safe!
