London Newborn & Baby Photographer: How I Plan Your Newborn Photography Session

All of my Newborn Photography Sessions in my Ghent, Belgium Studio are carefully planned out down to the last headband/ bonnet. I prefer to plan sessions out carefully prior to your newborn photography session so that sessions go and smoothly and stress-free for baby with as limited movement for them as possible. I start planning by asking your favourite 4 colours from a long list of colours (I have props in almost every colour) and allow the combination of 4 colours to inspire me to put them into my posing workflow. I then get everything out I require in your four colours and set everything up around the studio so it is ready to go. I always start my sessions with baby swaddled so that he/she falls into a deep sleep and then after a few different combinations in the swaddle (I call these the safety shots in case baby doesn’t like being unswaddled) we slowly unwrap to do the more posed set ups. I love planning my sessions and enjoy getting to be creative with each session I produce! Examples of set ups from my newborn photography sessions can be seen in my gallery.
