A few weekends ago, we went to Kenwood House near Hampstead Heath. I have been waiting to visit this beauty since I first heard about it but it was under renovation every time I wanted to. Finally, I got to visit and I was not disappointed! The sprawling lawns led up to a gorgeous stately house and upon entering, you are met with walls of robin’s egg blue, covered with the works of Gainsborough, Turner and Rembrandt. I was not expecting such a collection of art! It was a beautiful treat.

The library was probably my favourite. The walls were pastel pink, blue and white with elaborate crown moulding and shelves of old books lining the walls amongst paintings on the walls. I can’t imagine a more peaceful place to sit and read! I’m so happy to have such a great attraction so close to me!

It was hard to get great photos of the house and do it justice as I had to keep moving quickly and see all of the house! I will definitely be taking a visit there in the summer when I can enjoy the flowers and have a little picnic! I can’t even imagine how fun it would be to have a summer photo session here! The backdrop would be stunning!
