London Newborn & Sibling Portraiture

We had initially planned for big sister to go out with her dad after the family portraits were done but she ended up staying for the newborn portion of our session too! She was as good as gold and such an amazing big sister! I love capturing sibling portraits, I hope they will cherish these when they are older! I know how much I love images of my brother and I when we were tiny!

Autumn is booking up, did you know it’s best to book your newborn session after your 12 or 20 week scan? I book up in advance so don’t leave it too late too secure your session! I’m now booking due dates into March 2018! Are you due October 2017 to February 2018? It is best to schedule your newborn session as soon as you have your 12 week or 20 week scan as newborn sessions are best done in the first few weeks.
I book up quickly and often have last minute enquiries for people trying to schedule in a newborn session when baby is already here. It isn’t always possible for me to fit in last minute enquiries as I book up quickly so book ahead!

Why is it best to book your newborn photography session early and ahead of time?

-Availability- As I can only take a limited amount of newborns per month to allow for flexibility with early and late births (babies rarely are born on their due dates) and to leave room for all the editing/ retouching I do, I book up very quickly. If I am contacted too late or you don’t try to book until baby is here, I may not have room to fit you in or baby may be too old for a newborn session.

-Newborns are best photographed from 5-14 days old as they need to be sleepy, happy and easy to pose. Sometimes when people leave it too late to book and have the baby, baby is too old for a newborn session and we can’t get as much variety as I normally do in a newborn session.
